Isak just wants to go to Liverpool

Alexander Isak's future at St James' Park is in doubt. Despite Newcastle offering him a salary of £200,000 a week (about $258,000), the Swedish striker has yet to agree, having previously asked for £300,000 a week (about $387,000).

According to Sky Sports, Isak has rejected all contact with Saudi Arabia through his agent, and his only priority if he leaves Newcastle will be Liverpool. The "Red Brigade" once sent an offer worth 120 million pounds (about 155 million USD), but was rejected.

The turmoil surrounding Isak has left Newcastle in turmoil with just over two weeks to go before the Premier League season kicks off. If they can sign one of the likes of Yoanne Wissa, Nicolas Jackson or Benjamin Sesko, the North East club could let Isak go.

Arsenal officially welcomes "heavy artillery" Gyokeres

Arsenal have announced that they have completed the signing of Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting for a fee of nearly 73 million euros (about 79.6 million USD), excluding add-ons.

The Swedish striker has signed a five-year contract, earning 150,000 euros a week (about $164,000), double what he was earning at Sporting. He will wear the number 14 shirt - a number that has previously belonged to prominent names such as Theo Walcott, Aubameyang and the legendary Thierry Henry.

In the last two seasons, Gyokeres has scored a total of 97 goals in 102 games, standing out as one of Europe's top scorers. He is expected to help Arsenal end their title drought that has lasted since 2020.

Nottingham extend Gibbs-White contract

Nottingham's homepage confirmed that it has extended Morgan Gibbs-White's contract until the summer of 2028. The English midfielder was once of interest to Tottenham with an expected fee of 70 million euros (about 76.3 million USD).

However, the deal fell through after Nottingham accused Spurs of making an unauthorised approach and breaching the confidentiality clause in the player's contract. The renewal of Gibbs-White is seen as a confirmation of the City Ground team's ambition to keep the player.

Leeds raise bid to buy Paixao

According to Sky Sports, Leeds United continues to pursue Feyenoord's Igor Paixao with a new offer worth 32 million euros (about 34.9 million USD), excluding additional fees.

The Brazilian winger has scored 32 goals in 93 Eredivisie appearances since joining from Coritiba in 2022. Leeds have also signed goalkeeper Lucas Perri from Lyon for €18 million (about $19.6 million), bringing their summer signings to seven.

Bournemouth looking for Huijsen's replacement

Coach Andoni Iraola confirmed that he is looking for a center-back to replace Dean Huijsen - who just joined Real Madrid for a fee of nearly 60 million euros (about 65.4 million USD).

Bournemouth have raised more than €100 million (about $109 million) after selling Huijsen, Milos Kerkez (to Liverpool), Jaidon Anthony (Burnley) and Mark Travers (Everton). However, they have only added two new players: goalkeeper Đorđe Petrović (€30 million, about $32.7 million) from Chelsea and defender Adrien Truffert (€16.4 million, about $17.9 million) from Rennes.

West Ham ready to part ways with Paqueta

Despite being cleared of betting-fixing and receiving an unusual yellow card, Lucas Paqueta could still leave West Ham this summer.

According to the Daily Mail, the London team is willing to sell the Brazilian international if they receive a reasonable price. Previously, Man City was willing to spend nearly 100 million euros (109 million USD) on this deal, but was forced to stop due to the FA's investigation.

West Ham are said to have spent nearly £2 million ($2.6 million) on legal fees related to the case. If Paqueta is sold, they will have more money for manager Graham Potter to rebuild the squad for the new season.
