In recent years, Vinh Phuc tourism industry has identified three main directions of development to promote the natural and human advantages of the province: Weekend resort tourism and forest eco-tourism; cultural, historical, scenic, rural, and craft village tourism; business, conference, and seminar tourism.

In particular, Tam Dao is identified as a key district for tourism development in Vinh Phuc province with great potential with more than 120 historical and cultural relics including communal houses, temples, pagodas, shrines, revolutionary relics and other religious works. In particular, in 2022, Tam Dao town was also honored by World Travel Awards, the world's leading prestigious tourism organization, as the world's leading tourist town. These are favorable conditions for Tam Dao to strongly promote tourism development, making tourism a key economic sector, creating momentum for economic growth and improving people's lives in the area.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuong, Chairman of Tam Dao District People's Committee said: "In addition to developing resort tourism and spiritual tourism, Tam Dao continues to develop conference and seminar tourism, experiential tourism, cloud hunting tourism, check-in tourism and cultural and artistic tourism. In the district, in 2003, 5 model cultural village institutional areas were completed, in the coming time these locations will be places to attract tourists".

In 2023, in the context of the economy's intertwined difficulties and challenges, Vinh Phuc tourism has made spectacular progress, exceeding the target when the tourism industry welcomed nearly 9.3 million visitors, an increase of 13% over the same period, including 81,000 international visitors. Total tourism revenue reached over 3,600 billion VND, an increase of 10% over the same period in 2022. The impressive results achieved will be an important premise for Vinh Phuc tourism to develop strongly in 2024. In particular, the tourism industry strives for Vinh Phuc to welcome 10.6 million tourists in 2024, with total revenue reaching 4,000 billion VND.

Mr. Bui Hong Do, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vinh Phuc province emphasized: "To achieve the number of 10 million tourists to Vinh Phuc, this is a very difficult number. However, we will continue to advise the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee. Firstly, review and consolidate the Steering Committee for Tourism Development, expand regional linkages in tourism development. At the same time, continue to promote tourism and advertise tourism. This is a very important content, we will promote on digital platforms, social platforms... these are the contents to complete the tourism goal in 2024".

With the attention to synchronous investment in infrastructure along with the marked improvement in service quality at tourist destinations, many innovations in promotion activities have contributed to raising the position of Vinh Phuc tourism on the national and world tourism map. This continues to open up opportunities for the tourism and service industry to attract more and more tourists to Vinh Phuc.
