TKV's annual coal mining output always reaches over 40 million tons.
TKV's underground mines are applying many modern and advanced mining technologies in the world , especially mechanized and modernized systems in the stages of tunnel excavation, mining, ventilation and mine control, and mine drainage. The proportion of coal mined by synchronous mechanical systems is increasing, the rate of coal loss in mining is decreasing, increasing production and business, saving resources. With open-pit mines, TKV has been investing in large-capacity loading and unloading equipment to increase loading and unloading capacity; continuously innovating blasting technology to connect mining systems to create large-capacity open-pit mines to gradually transport transportation work. Currently, TKV's annual coal output reaches over 40 million tons, 7 times higher than the year of establishment in 1976. Labor productivity in the period of 2015-2020 increased by an average of 12%/year. Total mining output of the whole industry from 2011-2020 reached 435.445 million tons. Mineral industry In addition to the main field of coal, TKV has developed the mineral industry in the direction of enhancing deep processing to increase added value and economic efficiency. The Group has invested in a series of modern non-ferrous metal processing machines including: copper, lead, zinc, tin, cast iron, steel, bromite and other metals. In particular, in Lao Cai, each year the group's copper complex produces and supplies the market with over 11,000 tons of copper plates, along with accompanying gold and silver products. In addition, each year TKV produces 11,000 tons of zinc ingots and 180,000 tons of steel billets.
TKV currently has 14 power plants.
In particular, TKV is effectively operating two bauxite complexes processing alumina in Lam Dong and Dak Nong , laying the foundation for a new industry in Vietnam. The two alumina factories are operating stably with an average annual output of over 1.3 million tons, quality meeting international standards, and trusted by the market. Industrial explosives, power industry In addition to mineral coal, TKV has developed the fields of industry, power generation, industrial explosives, and mechanics. The Group currently has 7 power plants, 6 thermal power plants, and 1 hydropower plant. In the field of industrial explosives, TKV has 6 open-pit explosive production lines with a capacity of 100,000 tons/year; 9 mobile explosive production lines and 2 underground explosive jar production lines with a capacity of 8,000 tons/year. In addition, TKV has an explosive precursor factory, including: 1 ammonium nitrate production line with a capacity of 200,000 tons/year and 1 sodium nitrate production line with a capacity of 2,000 tons/year to serve the domestic and export industrial explosives production needs. Total revenue from production and service of industrial explosives industry is about 7,000 billion VND.

Mechanical industry In the mechanical field, TKV has 12 units (11 manufacturing companies and 1 specialized research institute). In recent times, Vinacom has promoted research, consulting, and design of digital advances in the manufacturing industry, promoting the production of goods to replace imported equipment and gradually reaching the regional market. TKV's mechanical production line system is being modernized towards automation in each production stage to increase processing accuracy and improve productivity. Annual revenue from the mechanical sector reaches about 4,500 - 5,000 billion VND, contributing very positively to the overall production and business results of the group. TKV's mechanical industry has many outstanding products such as EKV 10 excavator with bucket capacity of up to 10 m³; trucks designed up to 35 tons; AM 50z combi tunnel excavator; self-propelled drum sets... In addition, TKV's mechanics manufacture and assemble specialized equipment and vehicles such as industrial explosives transport vehicles, explosives transport vehicles, and multi-functional military transport vehicles.
