(Fatherland) - The first Cultural Festival of Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas of Binh Thuan Province in 2024 is expected to be held in Phan Thiet City with many rich and unique activities.
Information from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan province said that the unit has a plan to organize the first Cultural Festival of Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas of Binh Thuan province in 2024 with the theme "Preserving, promoting and spreading the traditional cultural identity of ethnic minorities and mountainous areas associated with tourism development".
The festival is organized with the aim of honoring good traditional cultural values, preserving and promoting the cultural identity of ethnic minorities in the unified and diverse culture of the community of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups in general and 35 ethnic groups in Binh Thuan province in particular; to promote socio -economic development, improve the enjoyment of cultural and spiritual life for the people, and at the same time associate with the development of local community tourism.

In addition, it creates conditions for artisans, actors, and public collaborators to meet, exchange experiences, raise awareness and consciousness in preserving, promoting, connecting and spreading traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities in the period of integration and development of the country. At the same time, it is an opportunity to promote and introduce the image, country, people, culture, cultural heritages, folk songs, folk dances, folk music and the beauty and uniqueness of ethnic minority costumes to become local cultural tourism products.
As planned, the festival will take place from December 11-13, 2024 in Phan Thiet City with the participation of 7 districts: Tuy Phong, Bac Binh, Ham Thuan Bac, Ham Thuan Nam, Ham Tan, Tanh Linh, Duc Linh.
At the festival, there will be folk song, dance, music and traditional costume performances of ethnic minorities and mountainous areas; Exhibition space to introduce and promote local traditional culture. In addition, the locality also organizes a scientific seminar "Current situation and solutions to preserve and promote traditional costumes of ethnic minorities and mountainous areas in Binh Thuan province".
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan province, the organization of the first Cultural Festival of Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas of Binh Thuan province in 2024 also contributes to building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable national development according to Resolution No. 33-NQ/TW dated June 9, 2014 of the 11th Party Central Committee; Conclusion No. 76-KL/TW, dated June 4, 2020 of the Politburo.
