Along with launching Internet packages with a minimum bandwidth of 300 Mbps for new customers ; Viettel Telecom Corporation has upgraded the bandwidth for all Internet packages of old customers to a minimum speed of 300Mbps.
Thus, 100% of customers using Viettel's fixed internet will be able to use bandwidth from 300Mbps or higher, demonstrating the commitment to bringing the best quality internet service to customers.
With this speed, users' Internet usage needs are met at a very high level such as downloading HD and 4K movies in just a few seconds, watching high-quality live videos (4K, even 8K); playing online games; studying and doing business online as well as using multiple devices at the same time without lag.
After upgrading the bandwidth, the minimum internet speed that Viettel provides to customers is equivalent to the average speed of the Top 5 countries with the best internet infrastructure in the world (Singapore 336.45 Mbps, UAE 310.05 Mbps, Hong Kong (China) 305.71 Mbps, France with 287.44 Mbps and Iceland at 281.95 Mbps).
On the other hand, this increase also makes Viettel Internet "finish early" compared to the Prime Minister's orientation for digital infrastructure development in the period of 2025-2030. Accordingly, by 2025, 90% of users in Vietnam can access fixed Internet with an average speed of 200 Mbps and towards 1 Gbps by 2030.
