The Minister emphasized that special art programs serving the people on the occasion of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 must ensure high artistic quality, have profound political content, and be attractive and enjoyable; special attention must be paid to guest work, digital media and international guests; the Department of Performing Arts, the Department of Vietnam Sports and Physical Training, the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Library must closely follow the script to practice for the mass parade.

The upcoming celebration, parade, and march to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2) will involve about 30,000 delegates and people. The capital is expected to welcome millions of domestic and foreign tourists to visit and participate in the activities.

“To serve the people coming to Hanoi to attend activities to celebrate the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, the Ministry will open free admission to the Ho Chi Minh Museum, the National Museum of History, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Vietnam Contemporary Arts Theater and the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism from September 1-3,” the Minister said.

The head of the Ministry emphasized that this is a practical activity to serve the needs of sightseeing and learning about history and culture of people across the country, especially those who come to the capital to attend upcoming major national events.

Recognizing that the upcoming Festival will be an opportunity for the industry to promote and attract domestic and international visitors through a series of major cultural events, Minister Nguyen Van Hung assigned the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism to take the lead in implementing directive documents to promote the country's image, striving to complete the target of welcoming international visitors by 2025.

Unprecedented special product launch

In addition to the series of activities of ministries and branches, Hanoi will organize fireworks displays at 5 locations, including: Hoan Kiem Lake, Thong Nhat Park, Van Quan Lake, My Dinh National Stadium and West Lake.

Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism Dang Huong Giang said that Hanoi has built many new tourism products such as inner-city day tours, suburban tours, culinary tours, cultural experiences and night tours to explore Hanoi.

Tours linking Hanoi with neighboring provinces such as Vinh Phuc, Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, Ninh Binh for 1-2 days are also being promoted. The city plans to plan one or two new areas into walking spaces or community cultural spaces to serve locals and international tourists, upgrade existing tours, and support businesses to stimulate tourism.

To attract tourists, the capital's tourism industry has specially introduced unique night tourism products, offering profound and novel cultural and historical experiences: "Tran Vu Bell" at Quan Thanh Temple, "Nam Thang Long Heritage Road" route, and "The Road of Learning" tour.

A special highlight is that Hanoi will introduce high-quality night trains from August 19, notably the "Five Gate" tourist train that will officially launch on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025). This unique experience also integrates the artistic space imbued with the traditional culture of the capital's folk art stage with genres such as Xam, Cheo, and Chau Van.

Accordingly, visitors can enjoy drinks at the bar and skylight space while admiring the night view of Hanoi. The train runs 2 trips/day, including the route connecting Hanoi with Tu Son (Bac Ninh) and the route around the inner city at night, helping visitors enjoy a lively space of ancient Hanoi in the heart of the modern city. The train also enhances the experience of spiritual culture and history, expanding the journey to explore the rich suburban area when combined with the electric car to visit Do Temple.

Local industry leaders expect the “Five Gate” train to become a new symbol of Hanoi night tourism.

In order to enhance the experience for foreign visitors and support tourists to easily access and explore the capital, the Hanoi Department of Tourism has been promoting the development of self-booked tours, integrated digital maps and multilingual artificial intelligence (AI) applications.

Tourism, travel and accommodation businesses in Hanoi have also committed to fully preparing human resources and facilities to serve the Great Festival. Currently, the room booking rate in central districts such as Ba Dinh and Hoan Kiem is from 70% to nearly 100%.

The 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2) this year is not only an occasion for people across the country to turn to the capital in national pride, but also an opportunity for the entire tourism industry to make a breakthrough in the last months of the year./.
