Summary of school Red Cross work for the 2022-2023 school year

On November 3, the Provincial Red Cross Society (RCS) held a conference to review the work of the Red Cross in schools in the 2022-2023 school year. Comrade Pham Van Hau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Honorary Chairman of the Provincial RCS attended.

In the 2022-2023 school year, the school's Red Cross work has been implemented with much attention by the Party Committee, the Board of Directors, teachers, staff, parents, and students of the schools, achieving many practical results, thereby contributing to supporting education work and developing humanitarian movements in the school system. In the past school year, the school Red Cross associations and branches in the province implemented the "Voluntary Blood Donation" movement, attracting 880 teachers and students to participate in donating 677 units of blood; mobilizing and donating to support 12,240 poor students with an amount of more than 5.4 billion VND; making a list and mobilizing to help 372 humanitarian addresses, with an amount of 186 million VND. The schools also paid attention to doing a good job of communication and training; health care, first aid; developing models and humanitarian activities to help poor teachers and students improve their lives and studies.

Speaking at the conference, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council acknowledged and commended the efforts and achievements in the school-based youth work in recent times. He requested the Provincial Youth Union, the Department of Education and Training, and the Provincial Youth Union to continue to strengthen coordination to effectively implement related programs and tasks; promote the initiative, enthusiasm, and dedication of the staff in charge of youth work in advising and proposing contents, goals, and solutions for implementing youth work in schools; promote the dissemination of humanitarian values, promote the nation's tradition of humanity and humanity, and commend good examples; regularly consolidate and develop the organization of the association, inspect and supervise the current situation of organization and quality of youth work in schools...

On this occasion, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council awarded the "For Humanitarian Cause" Medal of the Vietnam Red Cross Society to individuals; the leaders of the Provincial Red Cross Society awarded certificates of merit to 10 collectives and 12 individuals with outstanding achievements in school red cross work in the 2022-2023 school year.
