Bulgarian President suggests Vinfast soon sell electric cars and invest in production in Bulgaria

On November 26, 2024, President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev and a delegation of senior Bulgarian leaders visited and worked at the VinFast Hai Phong Factory Complex. He highly appreciated the quality and success opportunities of VinFast electric cars in the European market and suggested that VinFast soon study cooperation and investment in Bulgaria.

Visiting the VF Factory, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev was clearly impressed. He congratulated VinFast on achieving great success, becoming the number 1 car company in the Vietnamese market after only a short time. This is a testament to Vietnam's remarkable economic, scientific and technological development over the past few decades.

President Rumen Radev spent a lot of time visiting the factories and learning about VinFast's production process. He highly appreciated the quality and potential success of VinFast electric vehicles in the European market and said that Bulgaria has strengths in researching, manufacturing and developing components, sensors and smart operating systems for electric vehicles. For many years, Bulgaria has participated in the supply chains of many European, American and Japanese car manufacturers.

Therefore, President Rumen Radev invited VinFast to study cooperation and investment options in Bulgaria such as selling cars in the market, setting up a component manufacturing facility, manufacturing cars in Bulgaria or cooperating in developing software for electric cars in accordance with European standards and regulations.

Vice Chairman and General Director of Vingroup - Mr. Nguyen Viet Quang said that VinFast is strongly moving forward globally, with the goal of popularizing electric vehicles and green mobility trends to countries around the world. He pledged to seriously research and seek cooperation and investment opportunities in Bulgaria as suggested by the President.

The visit of Bulgarian President Rumen Radev to the VinFast factory once again affirmed the stature and role of VinFast in promoting green industry and green transportation trends on a global scale. VinFast is being viewed by many countries around the world as an iconic and inspiring story about the rise of the Vietnamese automobile industry.
