Sharing on the social networking platform Truth Social recently, US President Donald Trump revealed that the US government may soon reach an important agreement with Harvard University.

“We are addressing the issues that have gone wrong at Harvard. Harvard is acting very appropriately in the negotiations and is likely to commit to doing the right thing.
“If the deal goes through this way, it will be a major milestone and very beneficial for our country,” US President Donald Trump emphasized.
Mr. Trump's statement was made in the context that a federal judge has just extended the validity of the US President's decree, aiming to create conditions for international students and scholars to continue to study and research at Harvard.
Harvard is now at the center of a White House campaign to reshape America's elite higher education system.
Since the beginning of the year, the US government has suspended all research funding for Harvard. The US President has repeatedly threatened to strip the prestigious university of its tax exemption.
At the height of the tensions, the White House also wanted to strip Harvard of its right to recruit international students. Then, the administration of US President Donald Trump sought to block international students and scholars from entering the US if they wanted to study or work at Harvard.
The White House has declined to comment on Trump’s statement. Harvard University has yet to respond to this new development.
