Writing on the social network Truth Social on July 22, US President Donald Trump said the agreement with Indonesia was a big win for manufacturers, technology companies, workers and farmers.

Before announcing the deal with Indonesia, Mr. Trump announced a 19% tariff on goods from the Philippines. The information was released after President Trump met with Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on July 22.

Mr. Trump mentioned that the Philippines will open its market and not impose import tariffs on American goods. In addition, the two countries will also cooperate in the military field.
