Ho Chi Minh City: Investigation into case of male student forced to ride motorbike and assaulted on the street

On October 19, social media posted a video recording a male student being beaten up after a traffic accident on the road.

Specifically, according to the clip circulating online, two male students were riding a motorbike on the road when suddenly another vehicle came up behind them, leading to a collision. After the collision, both vehicles fell onto the road.

At this time, 3 young men appeared from behind on 2 other motorbikes, stopped, and approached the two male students. At this time, the person sitting behind got out of the motorbike, grabbed his helmet, and hit and kicked one of the male students. Seeing this, the remaining male student panicked and ran away.

After assaulting his opponent, the young man got into his accomplice's car to escape. Passersby restrained and arrested the young man.

Regarding the street brawl, Tan Chanh Hiep Ward Police (District 12, Ho Chi Minh City) informed that the incident occurred at around 5:00 p.m. on October 18 on Bui Van Ngu Street, Tan Chanh Hiep Ward.

Initially, the authorities identified the victim as a student at the Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center of District 12. The attacker was a student at the Technical Economic College of District 12. At the same time, in addition to the attacker, the police are also working with a number of people related to the incident.
