This afternoon, July 15, at the conference on analyzing the score distribution of the 2025 high school graduation exam subjects, representatives of the independent expert group helped the Ministry of Education and Training analyze and evaluate the score distribution. Regarding the score distribution analysis, only the literature subject is an essay subject, the rest are multiple choice. The score distribution analysis was conducted by a team of independent experts based on the data sent to the Ministry of Education and Training by the Departments of Education and Training.

Accordingly, experts are professors, doctors of science, representatives of leaders of the Department of Education and Training, and representatives of high schools who make objective comments based on the test scores and score distribution provided by the Ministry of Education and Training. The Ministry of Education and Training provides complete and timely information to candidates and society about the results of the first exam reformed according to the 2018 General Education Program.

Mr. Pham Ngoc Thuong, Deputy Minister of Education and Training, Head of the National Steering Committee for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam, said that this year's high school graduation exam has fully achieved three important goals: considering graduation, providing data to assess the quality of teaching and learning in general education, and being the basis for education policy. The analysis of this year's score distribution is not only theoretical but also reflects the practical operation of the exam, from the stage of creating questions to organizing the exam and enrolling students.

According to Mr. Thuong, the exam questions of the recent exam have shifted their focus from simply testing knowledge to assessing ability. Students are allowed to choose subjects based on their strengths - a step forward in personal career orientation. For the first time, IT and English are included in the selection, clearly demonstrating the principle of "no one is left behind." Even in a subject where only one candidate registered, the province still created the best conditions for that student to take the exam. This flexibility has helped students maximize their individual abilities, while also posing new challenges for teachers in their teaching work.

Mr. Thuong said that this year's score distribution is considered highly reliable and can be used as a basis for university admission. Difficult provinces such as Gia Lai and An Giang have students achieving high scores in IT, reflecting the positive impact of policies related to teaching, examinations, etc.
