On March 1, Ho Chi Minh City Police held a ceremony to announce decisions on streamlining the apparatus to operate effectively and efficiently, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new period.
Attending the event were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and Lieutenant General Le Hong Nam, Director of the City Police Department.
At the Conference, Ho Chi Minh City Police announced the decision of the Minister of Public Security on the organization of the City Police and the Commune Police. At the same time, announced the decision of the Director of the City Police on retirement settlement and job arrangement for leaders, commanders, officers and soldiers.
According to the announcement, Ho Chi Minh City currently has 22 district-level administrative units, including Thu Duc City, 16 districts and 5 counties. However, since March 1, the Public Security sector has not organized district-level police, so Thu Duc City, 16 districts and 5 counties are no longer operating.
Instead, Ho Chi Minh City Police will officially have a new organizational model, reducing from 55 focal points to 33 focal points, of which 246 team-level units have been reduced. Some tasks received from departments and branches will officially come into operation.
Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Lieutenant General Le Hong Nam emphasized that in order to effectively and qualitatively carry out tasks under the new organizational model, the entire City Police force will promote the highest sense of responsibility, dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility, and innovate.
Thereby, effectively and qualitatively performing tasks according to the new organizational model ensures continuity, continuity, no interruption, no vacant areas, no missing records or cases, ensuring normal social activities, maintaining security and order in the area.
At the announcement ceremony, the Director of Ho Chi Minh City Police announced and handed over decisions on personnel work of the City Police. On this occasion, the City Police implemented procedures and processes to report for opinions and received approval from the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, signed decisions on the appointment of Deputy Head of the Security Investigation Agency and Deputy Head of the Police Investigation Agency, Ho Chi Minh City Police.
