On July 31, the Propaganda Department of the Thu Duc City Party Committee (HCMC) held a meeting to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the Party's Propaganda Sector's Traditional Day (August 1, 1930 - August 1, 2024) and a thematic activity on "Solutions to improve the quality and effectiveness of public opinion gathering on prominent issues of the people".
Speaking at the review of tradition, Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of Thu Duc City Party Committee Hoang Thi Minh Ngoc shared that this is an opportunity for Party committees, authorities at all levels, sectors and propaganda teams to have a deeper understanding of the role and position of propaganda work.
According to comrade Hoang Thi Minh Ngoc, since Thu Duc City was established, the staff working in propaganda in Thu Duc City, together with the political system, have contributed to the cause of building and developing Ho Chi Minh City in general and Thu Duc City in particular in all fields, maintaining the ideological position and maintaining the socialist orientation.
Head of the Propaganda Department of the Thu Duc City Party Committee Nguyen Thi Be Hai also reviewed the positive results that the propaganda sector of Thu Duc City has achieved. She requested the propaganda sector of Thu Duc City to continue to coordinate, raise awareness and strengthen the leadership of Party committees at all levels, the government, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in the work of grasping and orienting public opinion, which must be closely linked to ideological work; considering this a regular political task of grassroots Party cells and committees.
Along with that, focus on improving the quality and effectiveness of public opinion monitoring, closely following the reality of social life, focusing on the grassroots and each specific case and subject, associated with events and political tasks of the locality and unit, especially prominent issues of great concern in the locality.
From 2021 to present, the Propaganda Department of Thu Duc City Party Committee has advised on building the electronic website "Thu Duc City studies and follows the ideology, morality and style of President Ho Chi Minh "; advised on implementing the construction of 402 Ho Chi Minh cultural space institutions in the area associated with preserving and promoting the cultural characteristics of Thu Duc City.
Recently, the Propaganda Department of the Thu Duc City Party Committee has deployed and launched a campaign throughout the Thu Duc City Party Committee to write personal comments about General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. After 4 days of launching, the Propaganda Department of the Thu Duc City Party Committee received 6,294 articles.
