After the scandal of Trinh Sang paying for a “surrogacy”, the Chinese entertainment industry continues to be troubled by rumors that keep popping up. Recently, some Chinese bloggers have spread rumors that The Untamed will be removed because the General Administration of Radio and Television of China has strictly imposed restrictions on BL works. Not only The Untamed but also upcoming BL works are being strictly censored and projects on paper will also have difficulty getting permission to be produced.
The above information quickly caused a stir in the online community in the past few days. The Untamed is one of the most popular adaptations of Chinese BL novels, so when the rumor of the film being removed immediately made many fans and audiences worried. They even prayed that it was all just a false rumor.

The Untamed is considered one of the best Chinese TV series adapted from BL novels.

Currently, the truth or falsity of the rumor that The Untamed has been removed is still open. The film crew, producers, or broadcasting platforms have not responded to the above rumor. The issue of tightening BL films has not been confirmed by any party. Instead, rumors about BL films starting to film and preparing to reach the audience are still spreading. Recently, there is a source confirming that the famous BL project The Four Blessings of Heaven has finished casting actors and is preparing to start filming. Therefore, the audience believes that the information about removing The Untamed as well as restricting BL films is unlikely to happen.
The Untamed is adapted from the BL novel Mo Dao Zu Shi by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu and released on Tencent in 2019. When brought to the screen, The Untamed is essentially just a "brotherly" love story because it removed all the love elements between the two main male characters. However, when it was broadcast, the film still caused a big stir in China and many Asian countries such as Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, etc. The work became a launching pad for the two main actors, Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo, to become the top handsome men in Chinese showbiz.

Hao Y Hanh is expected to be successful.

The great success of The Untamed once again opened up a "trend" of BL adaptations in China. After The Untamed, a series of BL novel adaptations began filming, such as Hao Yi Xing (Chen Feiyu, Luo Yunxi in the main roles), The Sky Guest (Gong Jun, Zhang Zhehan), Sha Po Lang (Dan Jianshu, Chen Zheyuan), Vai Trai Co Cau (Pham Thua Thua, Vuong An Vu), Truong Cong An (Tinh Bach Nhien, Tong Uy Long)... Among them, The Sky Guest is said to be "on the floor" in early February this year.
