Awarding the Certificate of Merit to martyr Chang Van Guyen

On the afternoon of July 24, Ha Giang Ward 1 held a ceremony to announce and award the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to the relatives of martyr Chang Van Guyen - a border guard who died while on duty at Son Vi Border Post in early 2024.

Martyr Chang Van Guyen was born in 2000, his hometown is Phuong Thien commune, Ha Giang city, Ha Giang province (now Ha Giang ward 1, Tuyen Quang province). During his work, he always completed his assigned tasks excellently, demonstrating a high sense of responsibility to the Fatherland and the People. On May 16, 2024, he sacrificed his life while performing his duties in the border area, and was posthumously awarded the title of Martyr by the State and a Certificate of Merit from the Fatherland.

At the ceremony, the martyr's relatives were awarded the Certificate of Merit from the Fatherland and the decision to recognize the martyr. This is the deep recognition and gratitude of the Party, State and People for the noble sacrifice of martyr Chang Van Guyen.

Speaking at the ceremony, the leader of Ha Giang 1 ward emphasized: The sacrifice of martyr Chang Van Guyen is the pride of the homeland, a beautiful symbol of courage, responsibility and patriotism. The local Party Committee and government are committed to continuing to care for the lives of families of martyrs and people with revolutionary contributions, so that the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" continues to be preserved and spread in the community.
