On the morning of July 31, Dong Thap University held a graduation ceremony for more than 1,500 new bachelors and new engineers, including 61 new bachelors trained under the order of Tay Ninh province (formerly Long An province).
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Quang Thai, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Tay Ninh province; Dr. Truong Tan Dat, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University Council; Associate Professor Dr. Ho Van Thong, Principal of Dong Thap University; along with representatives of leaders of units, lecturers of faculties, and many friends and relatives who came to attend and congratulate.
Dong Thap University is one of the key higher education institutions training teachers in the country, trusted by Tay Ninh province (formerly Long An province) to order teacher training according to Decree 116/2020 of the Government in the period from 2021 to 2024.
In total, 683 students have been supported with training under the order program through 4 courses from 2021 to 2024.
Associate Professor Dr. Ho Van Thong, Principal of Dong Thap University, said that immediately after receiving the training order, Dong Thap University proactively coordinated with the Department of Education and Training to organize meetings, disseminate rights, obligations and monitor students' learning progress.
“Students are paid their living expenses promptly and in accordance with regulations, creating the best conditions for them to focus on studying, training and developing comprehensively, participating in the world of work and making practical contributions to the local education sector,” Associate Professor Dr. Ho Van Thong shared.
The support policy under Decree 116/2020 of the Government is also implemented through the enrollment consulting programs of Dong Thap University, contributing to bringing the State's preferential policies in teacher training closer to localities, expanding opportunities for pedagogical students in many difficult areas, attracting excellent students to study teacher training majors.
