Awarding ceremony of the 9th book drawing contest in 2025

On the morning of June 21, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Department of Education and Training to organize the final round of the 9th book drawing contest in 2025, with the theme "Books - the door to knowledge".

The contest was launched from March 25 to May 31, 2025. The Organizing Committee received 2,470 entries from 2,419 participating students. The preliminary round was judged from June 16 to 19. The Jury selected 61 works from 61 contestants to compete directly in the final round.

Children participate in the final round of the painting competition.

Speaking at the opening of the final round of the contest, Mr. Nguyen Nam Giang - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that the contest aims to create conditions for children to express their passion for painting and creative artistic thinking.

Through the contest, children can develop their knowledge and feel the good and right things in books and newspapers; arouse patriotism, pride and aspiration to enter the era of national development; thereby having a positive lifestyle contributing to developing the habit of reading books and newspapers in the community.

The jury selected the best paintings to award prizes.

The contest is widely deployed to primary and secondary school students, out-of-school children, and disabled children in Tay Ninh province.

The content of the paintings describes the homeland, country, and Vietnamese people through daily activities; adventures, characters in books, newspapers, folk tales, legends, history of our nation's struggle against foreign invaders...

In the final round, each contestant has 120 minutes to create a painting. The entries must be drawn on A3, A4 white paper or Vietnamese roky paper (equivalent to A3, A4 size). Materials of choice: pencil, crayon, oil paint, gouache, watercolor, paper cutting and other materials.

As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize in the primary school category to contestant Luong Ngoc Ba Anh, Bien Gioi Primary School, Chau Thanh District; the first prize in the secondary school category went to contestant Phan Thi Hai Yen, Ben Cui Primary - Secondary School, Duong Minh Chau District; the first prize in the children with special circumstances category went to contestant Do Thi Ngoc Giang - Provincial School for the Disabled.

Ms. Pham Thi Cam Nhung - Deputy Director in charge of the Provincial Library awarded the First Prize to the Provincial School for the Disabled.
Mr. Dang Hoang Thai - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Tay Ninh Newspaper and Radio and Television Station awarded the Second Prize to the contestants.

In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded collective prizes to schools with a large number of contestants and high quality competition. As a result, the first collective prize went to Tay Ninh Province School for the Disabled.
