Giving gifts to orphans and disabled children in Thanh Hoa

On June 28, a delegation of officials and members of the Hanoi Association for the Relief of Disabled Children concluded their working trip in Thanh Hoa after 2 days of visiting, surveying, exchanging experiences and giving gifts to Social Protection Center No. 2 (Thanh Hoa province).

Thanh Hoa Social Protection Center No. 2 is a public social assistance facility, under the Thanh Hoa Provincial Department of Health , established in 1990, with the task of managing, nurturing, and providing cultural and vocational training for orphaned children of martyrs, orphaned children with no place to live, aged 6 to 15, and homeless children without parents or hometown. This is also the place to manage, care for, and nurture lonely elderly people and rehabilitate people with disabilities.

Currently, the Center is nurturing and caring for 125 subjects, mainly lonely and homeless elderly people, and caring for, nurturing and vocational training for 18 disabled and orphaned children.

On this occasion, the Hanoi Association for the Relief of Disabled Children visited, learned about, and surveyed the circumstances of the subjects being raised and cared for at Thanh Hoa Social Protection Center No. 2. The delegation of officials and members of the Hanoi Association for the Relief of Disabled Children presented gifts to the Center and 18 disabled and orphaned children being cared for and raised here with a total value of 50 million VND, with the desire to join hands with the community to take better care of the children.

Speaking at the program, Vice President of the Vietnam Association for the Relief of Disabled Children, President of the Hanoi Association for the Relief of Disabled Children Nguyen Kim Hoang emphasized: On the occasion of the "Month of Action for Children", through the gifts for orphans and disabled children, we hope that the community will join hands with Party committees at all levels, authorities, political and social organizations and philanthropists to support and help children in special circumstances and difficult circumstances. We appreciate the meaningful support activities of units such as Thanh Hoa Social Protection Center No. 2, contributing to creating a loving home, caring for and nurturing disadvantaged children, helping them have the conditions to study, grow up, and become useful people for society and the community".
