On the morning of June 30, the exhibition "Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam and Education - Vietnamese Examinations" opened at Binh Dinh Provincial Museum, providing a vivid perspective on the nation's tradition of studiousness and the spirit of examinations.

The exhibition, co-organized by the Center for Cultural and Scientific Activities of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, takes place from June 30 to July 31, with many unique contents, connecting national heritage with local cultural identity.
At the exhibition, Ms. Nguyen Lien Huong, Deputy Director of the Center for Cultural and Scientific Activities of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, said that one of the unique features of the exhibition is the design of the display space inspired by the folk game of "hai bai choi" - a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
Instead of using traditional information boards, the content is vividly presented on "cards" simulating cards in the card game. This approach is both highly interactive and creates a new form of presentation, helping viewers easily access and remember historical content, while cleverly honoring the unique cultural features of Binh Dinh people.

According to Ms. Huong, this exhibition presents a panoramic view of the formation and development of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, a sacred symbol of the tradition of studiousness and respect for teachers of the Vietnamese people. The documents on display are carefully selected from hundreds of valuable sources, summarizing the education and examination system during the monarchy, honoring the talented people who contributed to building the country's academic foundation, and reflecting contemporary activities in preserving and promoting the value of the relic.

In addition, the exhibition dedicates a part of its space to introduce the tradition of imperial examinations in Binh Dinh province - a land famous as "the land of martial arts, the land of learning". Through artifacts, documents and portraits of famous people, viewers will have the opportunity to learn about scholars from the locality, along with their outstanding contributions to the history of education and government of our country.
"Through the exhibition, we hope to send to the people of Binh Dinh province, especially the young people, a comprehensive and vivid view of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, the tradition of learning and examinations of the country as well as of our own homeland; thereby, contributing to nurturing the spirit of studiousness, preserving cultural identity and arousing the aspiration to rise up for a developed, happy and sustainable Vietnam," Ms. Huong emphasized.
