University drops minimum math requirement for semiconductor program

GD&TĐ - Vietnam-Japan University (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) adjusts the entrance requirements for the Semiconductor Chip Engineering Technology Program, full-time university program in 2025.

Accordingly, the school has removed the requirement for the Semiconductor Chip Engineering Technology Program to have a total score of at least 24/30 in the admission combination and a minimum score of 8 in the Math exam.

Candidates wishing to receive support from the Program “Developing human resources for the semiconductor industry to 2030, with a vision to 2050” under Decision 1017/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister must meet the requirements prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training . In 2025, Vietnam-Japan University will use 12 admission combinations for this program. All combinations include Mathematics and at least one Natural Science subject.

Recently, the Global Development and Innovation Program (BGDI) - International Studies Department of Vietnam Japan University (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) has reached a cooperation agreement with the Berlin University of Applied Sciences (Germany). Accordingly, students will have more opportunities to study and experience in Germany.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Phuong - Deputy Head of Training and Student Affairs Department, Vietnam - Japan University (Vietnam National University, Hanoi ) said that according to the cooperation agreement, the two sides will implement a student and lecturer exchange program starting from February 2027, when the BGDI Program officially operates entirely in English.

Accordingly, the Berlin University of Applied Sciences will send professors and students to teach and study at the Vietnam-Japan University. In return, five BGDI students with excellent academic achievements will be selected to participate in an exchange program in Germany for one semester. This is an opportunity for students to experience the modern, multicultural and practical academic environment in Germany.

As a pioneer program in international training, in 2025, BGDI will enroll 100 students in the International Studies major (major code: 7310601), with a minimum admission score of 19 points. The program is designed entirely in English, aiming to train a generation of global citizens with critical thinking, leadership skills, innovation and the ability to adapt to global issues in an interdisciplinary, multicultural environment.
