After the great success of the first season in 2023, the 2nd Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament - 2024 has entered the preparation stage, promising to bring many new and dramatic things. Today (November 10), representatives of Thanh Nien Newspaper had a meeting with the Board of Directors of Thuy Loi University to discuss the organization of the qualifying round in the Northern region.

At the meeting, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Thanh Nien Newspaper Tran Viet Hung expressed his deep gratitude to the Board of Directors of Thuy Loi University for contributing to the overall success of the first Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament - 2023, and expressed his hope that all parties will continue to accompany, support and closely coordinate so that the organization can take place successfully.
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Trung Viet - Vice Principal of Thuyloi University affirmed that the first Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament - 2023 was a great success, leaving a special mark, contributing to creating a rich playground for student life in particular and Vietnamese youth in general. Thuyloi University is ready to accompany and create the best conditions for the qualifying round in the North to take place successfully in all aspects.
In the 2023 season, Thuyloi University was chosen to host the Northern region. The school coordinated well with Thanh Nien Newspaper to ensure that the matches were organized smoothly and safely. Standard facilities, including a grass field that meets the requirements, along with the attention from the school's leaders are important factors for the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and Thanh Nien Newspaper to continue to organize the Northern region qualifying round in 2024 at Thuyloi University.

The 2nd Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament - 2024 in the Northern region has a total of 15 participating teams including: University of Water Resources, Hanoi University of Physical Education and Sports, National Economics University, University of Forestry, University of Business and Technology, Phuong Dong Private University, Phenikaa University, Hanoi University, Dai Nam University, School of Management and Business - VNU Hanoi, University of Law - VNU Hanoi, International School - VNU Hanoi, University of Economics - Business Administration (Thai Nguyen University), Hoa Binh University, Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports. The qualifying round in the Northern region is expected to take place from February 28 to March 8, 2024 (after Lunar New Year).
In the first Youth Student Football Tournament, the Northern region had 3 representatives attending the final round in Ho Chi Minh City: Thuy Loi University, National Economics University, Hanoi University of Physical Education and Sports. Of which, Thuy Loi University team reached the final match and won the runner-up position.
