Candidates taking the high school graduation exam this year
This afternoon (July 19), the Admissions Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy held a meeting and announced the threshold to ensure input quality (floor score) for the regular university program in 2024 for the admission method based on the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam.
Accordingly, the minimum score for the school's majors ranges from 19 to 24 points. Of which, the two majors of medicine and dentistry both have a minimum score of 24.
Pharmacy and traditional medicine both accept applications from 21 points. The remaining majors accept applications from 19 points or higher.
The floor score for each specific industry is as follows:
The above floor score applies to candidates in region 3 (without coefficient), and is the common floor score for combinations of 3 exams/subjects. The midwifery major only accepts female candidates.
Previously, the Ministry of Education and Training had an official decision on the minimum score for health and teacher training (pedagogy) majors. For the group of health majors with practice certificates, the threshold for ensuring quality in medicine and dentistry is 22.5 points; pharmacy and traditional medicine is 21 points; health majors including nursing, preventive medicine, midwifery, medical testing techniques, medical imaging techniques, rehabilitation techniques, and dental prosthetic techniques are 19 points.
