Regarding the emergency hospitalization after eating bread in Vung Tau, authorities are tracing the origin at 4 bread production facilities, 1 pork production facility and 1 ham production facility.

On November 27, the Vung Tau City Health Department ( Ba Ria - Vung Tau ) had a preliminary report on a suspected food poisoning case due to eating bread and sticky rice at Co Ba Ben Dinh bakery and sticky rice shop.

Many people have stomach aches after eating bread.

According to the Vung Tau City Health Department, the meal related to the suspected food poisoning incident took place in the late afternoon (from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on November 26), after which the patients were hospitalized with fever, abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, headache, etc.

The food consisted of mixed meat sandwiches (boiled meat, pork floss, butter, pate, ham, sauce, pickles, onions and cilantro). At 0:00 on November 27, the first person with symptoms related to food poisoning appeared and was taken to Vung Tau Hospital for treatment.

As of 4 p.m. on November 27, nearly 150 cases have been admitted to Vung Tau Hospital and Vietsovpetro Medical Center for treatment. Currently, more than 80 people have been admitted to these two medical facilities for treatment, the rest are being monitored and discharged.

According to the Vung Tau City Health Department, the results of the actual verification at Co Ba Ben Dinh's bread and sticky rice shop showed that the facility did not ensure hygienic conditions (preparation and processing on the floor, not placing tools and processing ingredients high), and the wall of the washing area was moldy.

The processing procedure does not follow the one-way principle. At the time of working with the authorities, the facility has not presented a business registration certificate, a certificate of food safety eligibility, documents proving the origin of the food, food ingredients, etc.

The authorities collected all remaining food samples from the store and 1 sample of the specimen (vomit) from the hospital. The sample was immediately sent to the Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Public Health for testing of microbiological indicators.

Vung Tau City Health Department is coordinating with the City Police and the Economic Department to conduct traceability inspections at 4 bread production facilities, 1 pork production facility and 1 ham production facility.
