Swedish media highlights results of sustainable development cooperation during Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan's visit

Swedish media published many articles highly appreciating the results of Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan's visit, especially the strengthening of cooperation to promote a sustainable future.

On November 13, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan successfully concluded her official visit to Sweden. In recent days, the local media and press have published many articles highlighting the relationship and prospects for future cooperation between Vietnam and Sweden.

The Swedish Government Office 's website wrote that Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson welcomed Vietnamese Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan to Stockholm.

During the working lunch, the two sides discussed many issues, especially bilateral relations between Sweden and Vietnam.

The news site emphasized that Vietnam is an important trading partner of Sweden and one of the fastest growing economies in the world.

“Today, we are taking important steps to further strengthen our cooperation, with a particular focus on technical innovation and the green transition,” Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson said.

During the meeting, two bilateral memoranda of understanding were signed and exchanged between Mr. Hakan Jevrell, State Secretary, Ministry of International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden and Vietnamese counterparts. These agreements mean that the two countries will have regular political consultations and expand cooperation in the green and digital transition.

Also reporting prominently on the visit, ScandAsia reported that the Vietnamese Vice President is on a two-day visit to Sweden to strengthen diplomatic ties. The visit highlights the commitment of both countries to strengthen cooperation, especially in the fields of innovation and sustainable development.

The article stated that during her visit to Sweden, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan met with Swedish officials and business leaders. The two sides explored cooperation opportunities in line with Vietnam’s strong economic growth. The focus was on using Swedish technology to support Vietnam’s green transition, especially in sustainable development and environmental protection.

Sweden and Vietnam have maintained a close partnership for many years. Both countries recognise the need for innovative solutions to combat climate change and promote sustainable development. Swedish companies can provide expertise and technology to help Vietnam advance projects that promote a sustainable future.

"The visit marks an important step forward in promoting the relationship between Sweden and Vietnam as they work together towards common goals of innovation and sustainable development," the article emphasized.

Meanwhile, the website of Ericsson Technology Group reported that during a visit to Ericsson's headquarters in Stockholm on November 12, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan highly appreciated Ericsson's technological contributions to the country's development, saying that the group will play an important role as Vietnam steps up its digitalization efforts.

Ericsson Vice Chairman of the Board of Management Jacob Wallenberg affirmed that the company is ready to continue playing a role in Vietnam's sustainable digitalization, with the aim of connecting industry and manufacturing.
