Romeny is a new face who has acquired Indonesian citizenship after many years playing for the Netherlands U15 and U19 teams. He is currently playing for Oxford United in England.

Romeny will almost certainly miss Indonesia's two friendly matches in September. And in October, Indonesia will enter the do-or-die match in the fourth round of the World Cup qualifiers.
