After the opening whistle, the Vietnamese women's team completely dominated the game. Coach Mai Duc Chung's team pushed up high, put pressure on the field and scored an early goal in the 2nd minute.

Huynh Nhu escaped down the right wing and made a difficult cross inside. Guam's goalkeeper flew to block the ball, sending it straight to Nguyen Thi Van. Number 18 of the Vietnamese women's team finished off the shot to open the scoring.

After the opening goal, the Vietnamese women's team dominated the game and easily scored 3 more goals thanks to Bich Thuy (minutes 13 and 26), and Hai Yen (minute 73) to close with a final score of 4-0.

Although the Vietnamese women's team dominated the match and played comfortably, coach Mai Duc Chung's team made many mistakes in defense. Fortunately, the Guam women's team was too weak to take advantage of the situation. However, the Vietnamese team needs to learn from their mistakes before entering the next tournaments.

The Vietnamese women's team finished the qualifying round of Group E of the Asian Women's Football Championship with a perfect record, scoring 17 goals and conceding none. Coach Mai Duc Chung and his team won tickets to the 2026 Asian Women's Football Championship with the goal of winning tickets to the 2027 World Cup.
