The 16 teams are divided into 4 groups of 4 teams each and will compete in a round robin to find the top 2 teams in each group to advance to the quarter-finals. In fact, if they are lucky in the draw for the U17 Asian Cup, it is not impossible for U17 Vietnam to pass the group stage.
