Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to evaluate the implementation results of national target programs.

In recent times, national target programs (NTPs) have been focused on implementation by all levels and sectors, ensuring that policies, regimes, and project capital are managed and used for the right purposes, right subjects, and effectively. In the first 8 months of 2024, the whole province has disbursed 78% of total development investment capital, of which the NTP for sustainable poverty reduction capital reached 80%, the NTP for socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas reached 77%; disbursed 28% of total career capital, of which the NTP for sustainable poverty reduction capital reached 53%, the NTP for socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas reached 15%. Through the programs, they have made an important contribution to helping ethnic minorities and mountainous areas develop production, increase income, and improve their lives. Besides the achieved results, the implementation of the national target programs has encountered many difficulties: Mobilizing resources to implement the programs is limited, mainly support capital from the central budget; some policies do not have regulations and instructions from the Central Government, so they have not been implemented...

Comrade Nguyen Long Bien, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting.

Concluding the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested all levels and sectors to continue to promote a high sense of responsibility, make more efforts and determination, actively coordinate to remove bottlenecks and difficulties to effectively implement programs and projects from now until the end of the year, determined to achieve capital disbursement according to plan. The key task is to promote propaganda work, raise awareness among cadres, party members, and people of all walks of life about the meaning and importance of the programs. Departments and sectors strengthen coordination with central ministries and sectors, advise the Steering Committee in management, direction, and operation, especially urgent solutions for capital disbursement. Departments and sectors proactively and regularly inspect and supervise the grassroots; Steering Committees at all levels promptly monitor results, grasp and handle difficulties and problems to speed up the implementation of programs, avoid loss and waste of state budget resources, contribute to ensuring social security and improving people's lives.
