The photo contest “Beauty of Thanh Hoa Journalists” organized by Thanh Hoa Journalists Association since 2023, has gone through 2 seasons, leaving an impression on Thanh Hoa journalists. The contest aims to promote the beauty of Thanh Hoa journalists in their work and experience in journalism, and to recognize and honor the spirit of dedication to the journalism career of the province's journalists.

Thanh Hoa Journalists Association has invited prestigious, professional and experienced journalists and photographers to join the Jury and Evaluation Council. On that basis, it ensures objectivity and criticality in the process of judging and evaluating the winning works.
The number of authors and works participating in the first year of the contest was nearly 120 works, the second year reached nearly 100 works, the prize value of the A prize was 5 million VND, the B prize was 3 million VND, the C prize was 2 million VND, the Encouragement prize was 1 million VND. The winners were awarded a Certificate by the Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Journalists Association. As a result, the first "Beauty of Thanh Hoa Journalists" Photo Contest in 2023 had 18 winning works, including 1 A prize, 3 B prizes, 6 C prizes, 8 Encouragement prizes; in 2024, there were 21 winning works, including 2 A prizes, 4 B prizes, 6 C prizes, 9 Encouragement prizes.
In general, the entries to the Contest closely followed the guidelines and regulations of the Contest.
In addition to the photos recording beautiful moments in all aspects of labor, work, daily life, culinary culture; experiencing products, services, tourism, immersing in the lives of artists of Thanh Hoa journalists, there are also photos reflecting the special nature of the work of journalists on the information and propaganda front, strongly fighting against negativity, social evils, serving the Fatherland and the People. Propagating, promoting, honoring the beauty in the work and work of Thanh Hoa journalists in all working circumstances. Recognizing the spirit of dedication to the journalism career of the provincial journalists, especially in participating in the process of building and developing the socio -economy, security and defense of Thanh Hoa province in particular and the country in general in the current period. Topics focused on exploitation include: Building new rural areas, OCOP and VietGap product production models; Outstanding achievements in industry, transportation, and tourism of Thanh Hoa) contribute to promoting and building a good image of Thanh Hoa journalists in particular and Thanh Hoa people in general in the hearts of domestic and international friends.
Many photographic works are photo series that show the author's elaborate investment in intelligence and concern in choosing the topic, content, and layout to express and convey the content message in each photo level.
Besides the advantages, there are still limitations that need to be overcome, especially in terms of photo quality. The photo works participating in the Contest still have overlapping topics, there are still authors who submit their photo works to the contest under their own names, and put their names in the works; the participating photo groups are not large; there are works that do not focus on content, have errors in presentation form, layout, and lack of logic in the photo series.
Hopefully the Photo Contest "Beauty of Thanh Hoa Journalists" will have more quality photos in the following seasons.
