Mobilizing more than 50.6 billion VND to support victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin

On the morning of June 25, the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin held a conference to review 10 years of implementing Directive No. 43 on strengthening the Party's leadership in dealing with the consequences of toxic chemicals used by the US during the war in Vietnam.

The Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin currently has more than 20,000 members, of which more than 15,300 are direct victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin and more than 3,300 are indirect victims. After 10 years of implementing Directive No. 43, the Association's fund has mobilized more than 50.6 billion VND to support members. From this resource, the Association has built 82 houses of gratitude, supporting livelihoods for 89 cases with a total value of nearly 1 billion VND. Every year, the organization detoxifies more than 300 victims with a budget of nearly 2 billion VND; supports care and free vocational training for 30 children who are victims with a total budget of nearly 1 billion VND.

At the conference, the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin summarized the association's work in the first 6 months of the year, deployed directions and tasks for the last 6 months of 2025; focusing on tasks such as reviewing and counting cases of victims with especially difficult housing circumstances; mobilizing the business community, entrepreneurs, and philanthropists to support, striving to achieve the average association fund according to the target set by the Congress.
