Cham and K'ho Culture in Binh Thuan to the Central Ethnic Culture Festival

The festival aims to contribute to honoring, introducing and promoting the good traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities to people across the country and international friends.

Binh Thuan will bring a program imbued with traditional culture with the theme: "Preserving and promoting the cultural identity of Binh Thuan ethnic groups in the period of integration and development", with many cultural activities, exhibitions, introductions and promotion of local traditional culture.

It is divided into 2 parts: Special topic on Cham culture in Binh Thuan, will introduce to friends and tourists about Cham people in Binh Thuan, demonstrate and introduce traditional weaving and pottery products of Cham people, introduce traditional cuisine of Cham people Kate Festival and Ramuwan Festival of Cham people, typical relics of Cham people, works on Cham culture, pottery making techniques, weaving, gingerbread making... Besides are traditional Cham costumes, traditional musical instruments: Ghi nang drum, Baranung drum, Saranai trumpet, rattles...

In addition to Cham culture, Binh Thuan also has the K'ho community with its own unique features. The program also features a special section on K'ho culture in Binh Thuan with some typical specialties of the K'ho people, introducing images, artifacts of rituals, festivals, traditional costumes and cultural life of the K'ho people, with the buffalo stabbing festival and traditional costumes of the K'ho people.

Participating in the Festival is also an opportunity for artisans, actors, and mass athletes of the province to meet, exchange, learn and share experiences, and raise awareness and responsibility of the community in preserving and promoting traditional cultural values of the ethnic groups in the Central region during the period of integration and development of the country.

The festival will take place from September 11 to 15, 2023, in Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh province.
