On the evening of May 31, Nguyen Van Tung entered the field in the 76th minute of the match against Khanh Hoa. This player scored a goal in the 86th minute to help Hanoi FC lead 5-1. However, immediately after that, the striker born in 2001 was injured without colliding with anyone. Van Tung left the field on a stretcher and was unable to walk on his own afterwards.

After conducting a check-up, Hanoi FC doctors confirmed that Van Tung has a left hamstring injury and will need at least 4 weeks to recover. That means the striker will be absent from the Vietnam National Team's June training session.

To replace Van Tung, coach Kim Sang Sik decided to call Dinh Thanh Binh to ensure enough players for the Vietnam national team. Dinh Thanh Binh is a player of HAGL, and is in very good form, having scored 4 goals in the last 5 matches.

Previously, Dinh Thanh Binh was a member of the Vietnam U20 team that participated in the 2017 U20 World Cup, but injuries affected the progress of the striker born in 1997.
