Vietnam is a potential destination for Canadian businesses.

With the desire to concretize investment projects of Canadian enterprises in Vietnam, the Vietnam Trade Office in Canada coordinated with relevant departments and agencies of the host country to organize a business dialogue event in Toronto. The event attracted the attention of Canadian enterprises with investment activities in Vietnam, as well as enterprises looking for business opportunities in this dynamic market of Asia.

Vietnam is considered by Canada as a potential destination, suitable for the fields prioritized by the Canadian Government such as healthcare, technology, aviation, energy transition, agriculture and processed food. The representative of the Vietnamese Embassy in Canada shared that experts and speakers attending the event all highly appreciated the investment opportunities in Vietnam, saying that Vietnam is a good market, with many opportunities and safety for investment and business. In addition, experts commented that the Vietnamese market has very good support from all levels of government, has the advantage of political stability and low financial risks.

Vice President of the Asia- Pacific Foundation of Canada Christine Nakamura emphasized that Vietnam is one of the fastest growing economies in ASEAN. The Vietnamese government has implemented many policies to create a favorable business environment for foreign investors. Many Canadian businesses are very interested in the Vietnamese market .

Saina Fan, Regional Director of Export Development Canada (EDC) in Ontario, affirmed that Vietnam is one of the markets that EDC cannot miss. As a specialized agency for export development, EDC has full tools to support Canadian businesses exporting to Vietnam, one of the important strategic markets and also EDC's largest export market in ASEAN.

Several Canadian companies shared their experiences investing in Vietnam. The North American business development director of Global Appetite, a food processing company, said that in the past five months, the company has implemented a huge amount of work since its first trip to Vietnam last year. The president of Kuus, a company operating in the field of plant protection chemicals, affirmed his desire to invest in Vietnam in the near future.
