At the Vietnam booth, many typical coffee products were introduced, including robusta, arabica, roasted and ground coffee, instant coffee, filter bag coffee, capsule coffee and special products. Of which, robusta coffee, which is mainly grown in the Central Highlands, thanks to special climate and soil conditions, is a prominent strength.
Vietnam is currently the world's second largest coffee producer, with an output of about 2 million tons per year, accounting for 15% to 18% of the world's total output. Vietnamese coffee products are present in more than 80 countries, including key markets such as Europe, the US, Japan, Russia, the UK and Canada.
According to Ms. Ngo Thu Huong, Vietnam Trade Counselor in Chile, the presence of Vietnamese coffee in Chile in particular and the Latin American region in general is still modest. She emphasized that participating in ExpoCafé 2025 is a strategic opportunity to promote Vietnamese coffee to a region with a long tradition of coffee consumption and great development potential.
More than 150 businesses from coffee producing and consuming countries participated in this year's fair. According to the Vietnamese Embassy in Chile, the event marked an important milestone in efforts to enhance the country's image, seek opportunities and expand export markets in potential regions such as Latin America.
