According to the Plan of the Commune People's Committee on implementing the social pension regime according to Decree No. 176/2025/ND-CP of the Government , the subjects specified are the elderly in Thuong Phuc commune who are 75 years old or older, born from July 1950 or earlier and people aged 70 to under 75 years old belonging to near-poor households according to Government regulations who do not receive monthly pension or social insurance benefits, are entitled to a social pension of 500,000 VND/month.

The social pension policy not only contributes to improving the material life of the elderly without pensions but also demonstrates the humanity in the social security policy of the Party and State, especially in the context of restructuring administrative units and implementing the two-level local government model in the capital.

Vice Chairman of Thuong Phuc Commune People's Committee Tran Ngoc Tuan said that the work of receiving dossiers was directed by the Commune People's Committee to be implemented carefully. The Commune People's Committee also directed to increase propaganda on the commune's radio system and mass media to ensure that people in villages, hamlets, and residential areas in the commune clearly understand their rights and proactively participate. The commune also assigned staff to guide and check dossiers on the spot to avoid errors and shorten processing time.
