Comrade Nguyen Thanh Bang - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Commune Party Committee informed: The three communes of Dai Dong, Nghia Hung and Yen Lap in the past (present-day Vinh Hung commune) have a rich history and administrative geography with many traditional cultural festivals. In particular, the traditional festival of Dai Dong commune is recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage, not only having great significance in preserving and promoting cultural values but also being an important driving force to promote the economic development of the commune.
With a convenient geographical location and traffic, Vinh Hung commune people are active in economic development, being a transit point for melons from the South to all the Northern provinces.
Along with that, Vinh Hung commune has a favorable geographical location with an important transportation system running through it, contributing to economic development and trade of goods, such as National Highway 2, the central axis road, the provincial road parallel to the railway and the Hanoi - Lao Cai, Lao Cai - Hai Phong railway in the coming time. This is the strength to develop the trade - service industry, expand trade of goods, link with key economic zones inside and outside the province, and is a favorable condition for many industries to develop.
However, the commune is still facing many difficulties and challenges: Economic development is not really sustainable; large-scale, high-tech agricultural production is still limited; development investment resources have not met requirements; the quality of human resources, especially high-quality human resources, is still low. The task of building modern rural areas and e-government and digital government at the commune level still faces many difficulties; planning has not met the needs of socio-economic development.
In the 2025 - 2030 term, the Party Committee of the commune has set out 16 main targets to be implemented. Typically: State budget revenue in the area increases by an average of 10% annually; State budget revenue by 2030 is 205 billion VND. Total social investment capital implemented in the area increases by an average of 12% annually. Total social investment capital implemented in the area by 2030 is 3,497 billion VND. Regarding business development, strive to have 180 - 220 enterprises in the area by 2030. The average number of individual production and business establishments converted into enterprises per year is 10-15 enterprises. The total number of individual production and business establishments converted into enterprises by 2030 is 50-75 enterprises. The poverty rate according to the multidimensional poverty standard by 2030 is below 0.31%. Commune meets advanced new rural standards.
To achieve these goals, the Party Committee of the commune has set out a number of key tasks to be carried out: Strengthening the building and rectification of the Party and the political system to be clean and strong in all aspects. Building a contingent of cadres at all levels with qualities, capacity and prestige, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation. Continuing to arrange the organizational apparatus, perfecting the government system at all levels towards streamlining and effective operation; improving the quality of public service and the effectiveness of government operations; continuing to innovate leadership and management methods, and enhancing the responsibility of setting an example for leaders.
Agricultural development is a key task to be carried out in economic development in Vinh Hung.
Effectively exploit the potential and strengths of the locality, promote economic development, in which priority is given to the development of services - trade; agricultural production towards goods, application of science - technology, digital transformation, circular production. Encourage the development of private economy, cooperative economy, linkage to create sustainable value chains, improve the quality, value of agricultural products and income for people.
Pay attention to planning work; focus on site clearance for key central and provincial traffic works passing through the commune... Increase investment attraction to build synchronous and modern infrastructure to serve the long-term socio-economic development of the locality.

Along with that are 4 breakthroughs: Reforming administrative procedures, improving the investment and business environment, removing bottlenecks and barriers, clearing and effectively using all resources. Promote the development, application of science, technology and innovation. Do a good job of planning and clearing land for key national and provincial projects in the area, aiming at socio-economic development for the whole country in general and the locality in particular. Increase investment in building rural socio-economic infrastructure; effectively mobilize internal and external resources to strive for the commune to meet advanced new rural standards, towards modern new rural areas.
