In addition to the economic achievements, environmental protection work still faces many challenges, such as: Household waste is still discharged indiscriminately into public areas, waste classification at the source is not timely; water sources of rivers, lakes, canals are polluted; livestock waste has not been effectively treated, causing environmental pollution and negatively affecting people's quality of life...

Faced with that situation, to protect the environment, Yen Lang commune has launched a campaign to all people to simultaneously clean up the environment on Saturdays and Sundays every week. In which, villages, hamlets and each person should actively participate in cleaning, collecting waste, dredging sewers, clearing water flows, and handling black spots of pollution in the area. In addition, each village, hamlet, residential area, and association plants and takes care of a green garden, in order to create a "Bright - green - clean - beautiful" landscape.

According to information from the People's Committee of Yen Lang commune, by 4:00 p.m. on July 27, the environmental cleaning movement had attracted about 300 participants, including: Youth Union, Women's Union, Farmers' Association... The forces in the commune coordinated with environmental sanitation workers to collect and transport dozens of tons of waste for treatment, contributing to spreading the sense of responsibility and community awareness in building a clean, beautiful and civilized living environment.
