The first Putaleng Festival of Tam Duong district in 2024 with the theme "Returning to the Rhododendron Land" will take place from November 22 to November 24 in Muong Lu Lake area, Tam Duong town, Lai Chau province.
The art program "Returning to the Rhododendron Land" opening the Festival will take place at 8:00 p.m. on November 22 at Ho Muong Lu Stage - Tam Duong Town, Tam Duong District, Lai Chau Province. At the event, the Decision to recognize the ancient rhododendron forest concentrated on PuTaLeng Mountain at an altitude of 2,619m will be announced as the largest area in Vietnam .
Along with that is an art performance imbued with the cultural identity of the people of the ethnic groups in Tam Duong district. The art performance combines elements of music , cinema, lighting effects and stage.
The dance scenes introduce the rock and people of Tam Duong, Lai Chau - a land with vast rhododendron forests and water wheels that flow all year round. The Dragon Cloud Glass Bridge is 2,800m above sea level. The music will lead the audience to immerse themselves in the sea of clouds and flowers with captivating sounds and colors...
The joyful atmosphere of the festival days of the ethnic groups will also be dramatized, the community life of the people here will be recreated, each person, each custom has its own unique beauty, brilliant colors, creating the vastness of Tam Duong land and sky... The program ends with the largest-scale ground fireworks display ever in Tam Duong.
Many special activities at the 1st Putaleng Festival of Tam Duong district in 2024
The highlight of the Putaleng Festival is the 3rd PuTaLeng Vietnam Open Paragliding Competition with two paragliding competitions, powered and unpowered, which will open at 8:00 a.m. on November 21 and close at 4:30 p.m. on November 24 at the Multi-purpose Performance Hall of the Center for Culture, Sports and Communications - Tam Duong District Stadium (take-off at the Si Thau Chai Paragliding Field, Ho Thau Commune; landing at Tam Duong District Stadium).
In particular, from November 22 to November 24, a series of other exciting activities will take place, such as: The 2nd PuTaLeng Traditional Run to conquer Tac Tinh Waterfall; Rafting Race on Muong Lu Lake; Community Cuisine Competition; Tam Duong Beautiful Photo Exhibition; The 1st Tam Duong District Open Leather Volleyball Tournament; The 2nd Tam Duong District Mong Panpipe Festival; Organizing ethnic sports competitions and many activities to introduce and promote local tourism, display OCOP products...

The Closing Ceremony will take place at 3:30 p.m. on November 24 at Ho Muong Lu stage, Tam Duong town, Tam Duong district.
