Sleeper bus catches fire in Ha Nam, more than 20 people flee

This morning (October 15), the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department - Ha Nam Provincial Police informed that a fire broke out, burning down a sleeper bus in the province.

Specifically, at around 10:30 p.m. on October 14, a sleeper bus with license plate number 37B-024.xx driven by Mr. Nguyen Canh T. (born in 1981, residing in Nam Dan district, Nghe An province) was traveling on National Highway 1A in the direction of Hanoi - Phu Ly city (Ha Nam province). When arriving at Quang Trung ward (Phu Ly city), Mr. T. discovered smoke coming from the car's compartment, so he stopped the car to check.

Discovering the car was on fire, the driver shouted for more than 20 people in the car to get out and escape.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department dispatched 2 fire trucks and 15 officers and soldiers to the scene to extinguish the fire.

The fire caused no casualties, but completely destroyed the bus. The cause of the fire is being investigated by authorities.
