After being highly praised by critics for the film Muon Kiep Nhan Duyen (Past Lives) which was nominated for 2 Oscars in 2024, Celine Song has returned this time with a new rom-com story also on the theme of love, creating a lot of contemplation for viewers.

The main character Lucy (Dakota Johnson) is a beautiful, intelligent woman who works as a matchmaker in New York City. Despite her talent in finding love, Lucy has not been lucky in her own love life and remains single. Things get complicated when she is caught between her “imperfect ex” John (Chris Evans) and her “perfect new lover” Harry (Pedro Pascal). Does Lucy deserve to love and be loved when her heart is still uncertain about the past and uncertain about the future?

Lucy still loves John but they both break up because of their miserable life in poverty. She opens her heart to Harry but then discovers the imperfections of this "rich and elegant" man. The film provides a modern perspective on love - when both men and women are looking for their "other half" with too many expected standards that are "measured" but forget one core thing: love requires harmony between two souls, feelings of "belonging to each other" and tolerance, understanding, and acceptance of each other's strengths and weaknesses.

The perfect half is also attractive because of the acting talent of the "50 Shades" beauty Dakota Johnson, the romantic look of "superhero" Chris Evan and the masculinity of Pedro Pascal - who plays General Acasius in Gladiator II in 2024.
