Currently, coffee exports and export prices have reached an all-time high. Vietnam has become the leading supplier of Robusta coffee not only in terms of output but also in terms of quality. However, the coffee industry is facing significant difficulties due to the negative impacts of climate change. According to the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association, entering the 2023-2024 coffee harvest, the shortage of supply is still occurring, while demand is quite large. It is estimated that there is a shortage of about 1.5 - 2.5 million bags of coffee under the contract and needs to be met from the current coffee harvest.

Due to the shortage of supply, coffee prices have continuously reached their peak, many Robusta coffee export contracts are being suspended due to lack of goods.
