At the end of the session on September 16, the VN-Index decreased by 12 points (-1%), closing at 1,239 points.

Investors maintained a cautious and probing stance when entering the trading session on September 16. The market recovered from the 1,250-point area, but the upward trend in the morning session was very modest and then reversed downward.

Entering the afternoon session, investors increased their selling pressure on low-priced stocks, causing most of the major stock groups to be in red. In particular, the group of 30 large stocks had 25 codes with very strong price decreases: POW (-3.9%), VHM (-2.9%), GAS (-2.3%), VRE (-2.1%), VIC (-2%) ...

In the above context, foreign investors increased their purchasing power. As a result, foreign investors net bought more than VND218 billion worth of shares on the HoSE.

At the end of the session, the VN-Index decreased by 12 points (-1%), closing at 1,239 points. Liquidity increased with 453.6 million shares matched on the HoSE floor.

Dragon Viet Securities Company (VDSC) commented that liquidity increased compared to the previous session, showing that supply is increasing again. This signal is putting pressure on investors' trading psychology. At the same time, the inertia of the decline in the session of September 16 could cause the market to decline in the next trading session.

"Therefore, investors need to keep the proportion of stock portfolios at a reasonable level and avoid overbuying, consider recovery periods to restructure the portfolio in a direction to minimize risks" - VDSC recommends.

Meanwhile, Vietcombank Securities Company (VCBS) said that the recent corrections show that the market is in need of leading cash flow. This has affected investor sentiment, causing trading to be somewhat quiet.

However, some investors still expect foreign investors to continue net buying, stimulating many other investors to hold stocks, helping the market perform positively in the next session.

"Stock traders need to maintain the same stock portfolio proportion as in previous sessions, closely following market developments to promptly trade to ensure profits," said Mr. Nguyen Quoc Bao, senior analyst at VCBS.
