Báo Dân tríBáo Dân trí08/08/2023

On the morning of August 8, Mr. Vo Van Le, Chairman of the People's Committee of Phuc Dong Commune (Huong Khe District, Ha Tinh ), said that the above incident occurred in this locality. The livestock farm that had the incident was owned by Mr. Phan Van Xuan.

At around 11pm on August 7, the farm unfortunately had an electrical short circuit that caused the cooling fan system to stop working. The total flock of chickens was 15,000, and the unexpected incident killed nearly 10,000.

To help the "owner" salvage their property, the local government mobilized communal and village officials, along with local people, to slaughter the dead chickens and called on people to consume them to support them.

According to Mr. Phan Van Xuan, the chickens have reached a weight of 2.5-3kg/chicken, and there are only a few days left before they are sold. People have come to buy them, but not significantly because the damage is too great. Mr. Xuan estimated that the incident caused his family more than 1 billion VND in damage.
