Of the more than 10,000 athletes participating in the tournament, 8,000 participated in four events: a 42km marathon, a 21km half marathon, a 10km cross-country run and a 5km run. In addition, about 2,000 young athletes competed in children's events.

This is a record number, much higher than previous seasons. Specifically, in the first tournament in 2022, there were about 3,500 athletes participating. By the second tournament in 2023, the number of athletes participating reached about 6,000 people.
The tournament will kick off in Cao Lanh city (Dong Thap) on October 12 and 13. The "Dat Sen Hong Marathon 2024 - Masterise Homes Cup" is an annual tournament, directed by the People's Committee of Dong Thap province and organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Thap.
The total prize value this year is nearly 200 million VND. Of which, the first prize for the 42km distance is 17 million VND, the 21km distance is 9 million VND. The first prize for the 10km distance is 7 million VND and the first prize for the 5km distance is 5 million VND.
This is the cash value, the organizers said they will mobilize additional prizes in kind for the winners. The tournament is not only a simple sporting event, but also an opportunity to promote the image of the lotus land of Dong Thap , and at the same time help spread the spirit of sports to the community.
