The service sector recorded 103,127 new enterprises in the past 10 months, accounting for 75.8% of the total number of newly established enterprises, up 2.73% over the same period in 2023. The construction and agricultural sectors recorded a decrease in the number of new enterprises.

The industrial and construction sector recorded a decrease in the rate of newly established enterprises compared to the same period in 2023.

According to information from the Department of Business Registration Management ( Ministry of Planning and Investment ), the number of newly established enterprises is 136,085 (an increase of 1.87% over the same period in 2023.

The total registered capital of these enterprises is 1.3 million billion VND (up 4.08% over the same period in 2023). However, compared to the same period, the number of registered employees decreased by 8.68%, with 815,574 employees.

In total, the number of enterprises entering and re-entering the market in the first 10 months of 2024 and October was 202,325.

Of these, the majority are service enterprises, with 103,127 enterprises, accounting for 75.8%, an increase of 2.73% over the same period in 2023.

Next is the industry and construction sector, with 31,585 enterprises, accounting for 23.2% of the total number of newly established enterprises. However, compared to the same period last year, the number of new enterprises in this sector decreased by 0.53%.

The agriculture, forestry and fishery sector also recorded a decrease in the number of newly established enterprises, with 1,373 new enterprises, down 5.24% over the same period last year.

The number of businesses returning to operation is 66,240.

The total registered capital added to the economy in 10 months was more than 2.6 million billion VND (down 4.67% over the same period in 2023).

The average registered capital per enterprise reached VND 9.6 billion, equivalent to the same period in 2023 and lower than the average of the first 10 months of the year in the 5 years 2020-2024 (VND 11.2 billion).

In the past 10 months, 173,200 enterprises withdrew from the market. Of these, 92,135 enterprises temporarily suspended business; 63,712 enterprises were waiting for dissolution procedures; and 17,353 enterprises were dissolved.
