The National Book Awards are organized by the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Information and Communications , and the Vietnam Publishing Association. The sixth National Book Awards ceremony (2023) will be held on December 29, 2023 at the Opera House (Hanoi).

Forty-one books will be honored at the sixth National Book Awards ceremony.

Outstanding and valuable works in 5 book categories: Politics , Economics; Natural Sciences and Technology; Social Sciences and Humanities; Culture, Literature and Arts; Children have been selected by the National Book Award Council to award A, B, C and Encouragement prizes.

The judging process was fair, transparent and rigorous with the participation of more than 70 leading experts in many fields.

At the press conference held on December 26, Mr. Do Quang Dung - Vice President of the Vietnam Publishing Association, Standing Member of the National Book Award Council - announced that this year's season has 2 A prizes, 10 B prizes, 11 C prizes and 18 Encouragement prizes, nearly double the number of previous seasons.

On the eve of the award ceremony, the publishing world anxiously awaited the results, and those holding the invitations expressed their joy and happiness.

The award-winning books and book series are considered to be creative works with profound humanistic spirit, elaborate and serious scientific research works, with high scientific , social and practical values.

The National Book Award is the successor to and development of the Vietnam Book Award. After a process of consolidation and development, the National Book Award has become the most prestigious award for books.
