After actively funding US President-elect Donald Trump, the world's three richest billionaires are expected to make a prominent appearance at his inauguration on January 20.

NBC News reported on January 15 that technology billionaires Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg will attend the inauguration ceremony next week of US President-elect Donald Trump.
The CEOs of Tesla, Amazon, and Meta are expected to make prominent appearances at the event, sitting alongside cabinet candidates and other elected officials. Representatives for the three billionaires did not immediately comment on the information.
Bezos’s Amazon and Zuckerberg’s Meta were among the companies that donated $1 million each to Trump’s inauguration. Musk, who heads Tesla, SpaceX and the social network X, has spent more than $250 million to help Trump run for reelection in November 2024.
According to Forbes magazine's online ranking, Mr. Musk has a fortune of 417 billion USD and is the richest person in the world. Next is Mr. Bezos with 232 billion USD and Mr. Zuckerberg with 205.5 billion USD.
Regarding Mr. Trump's policy, the president-elect said he would create a new government agency, called the External Revenue Service, to collect taxes and all revenue from foreign sources, as he prepares to impose new import tariffs.
In a social media post, Mr. Trump said the new agency would be established on January 20 when he takes office, adding that Americans have been taxed by the Internal Revenue Service for too long.
“Through weak and disastrous trade agreements, the American economy has brought growth and prosperity to the world while taxing itself. It is time for that to change,” he wrote.
A spokesman for Trump's transition team did not immediately respond to a request for comment to clarify Mr. Trump's statement or explain how the new agency would operate.
