Admiring the snake-shaped island and visiting the snake couple are suggestions for tourists when coming to Korea in the year of the Snake 2025.
World Cup Park, Seoul
Since 2018, the World Cup Park in Seoul has maintained the tradition of creating large sculptures of the zodiac animal of the year using silver grass. This year, the park features a snake couple made from four tons of grass. The pair of snakes are each 3.5 meters in size and 4 meters long, along with four snake eggs measuring one meter high and 1.5 meters long. The work symbolizes a year of harmony and reunion.
In addition, the park has a wishing tree where visitors can write their wishes and hang them up. During the Lunar New Year holiday, the park hosts traditional Korean games such as ring tossing and playing "yut" (traditional Korean chess).
Visitors do not need to make reservations in advance, the park is lit from 5pm to 11pm every day.
Cheongsapo Beach, Busan
Cheongsapo is located in the southeastern port city of Busan, famous for its lighthouses. The town's name comes from the legend of the green snake passed down by local people.
