According to Tuoi Tre Online , in early 2024, Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) and Vietnam Airlines Corporation (Vietnam Airlines) have just "joined hands" to promote the potential of both sides to improve service quality to customers and develop business strategies. ACV has the advantage of managing and operating 22 airports in Vietnam. Vietnam Airlines is a large-scale airline with a series of subsidiaries and affiliated companies in the Vietnam Airlines Group system. On the basis of this cooperation, the two sides will coordinate, test, and develop new products and services in line with the development trend of the world aviation industry with high quality, preferential prices, and competitiveness for customers and businesses of each side. Notably, with this cooperation agreement, Vietnam Airlines will have many advantages from ACV - the investor of Long Thanh airport, supporting the airline to invest in providing ground services, aircraft maintenance, meals, etc. at Long Thanh airport. According to aviation experts, the strategic cooperation between ACV and Vietnam Airlines will create many new "colors" in aviation services when combining the advantages of the "big guys" in the industry. Both of these enterprises have state capital under the management of the State Capital Management Committee. Previously, Vietnam Airlines Chairman Dang Ngoc Hoa shared with Tuoi Tre Online about the plan to increase international flights, especially transcontinental flights to bring tourists and investors to the "super airport" Long Thanh. "Not only Vietnam Airlines but also airlines in the Skyteam alliance will exploit Long Thanh airport, competing with airports in the Asian region" - Mr. Hoa expected.
